Spiced Cranberry Mule
It’s time to start prepping your menu for Thanksgiving! And what’s better than a holiday twist on a classic cocktail to wow everyone with? Moscow Mules are by far one of my favorite drinks. And while I typically associate them with summer, the intense ginger flavor is perfect to transform into a spiced holiday drink. This is also an easy one to turn into a mocktail, for those that don’t drink alcohol!
You only need 6 ingredients to make the spiced cranberry mule and it’s super easy to throw together just before guest arrive.
The spiced simple syrup is the only complicated part of this recipe, but even still it’s easy to make and only takes an extra 10 minutes. Plus it’s great to have on hand for your morning coffee during the winter!
I used this recipe from marthastewart.com for the spiced simple syrup, however I didn’t include the orange peels because I did not want the extra citrus to compete with the cranberry and ginger elements of this drink.
To make the beverage non-alcoholic, simply remove the vodka. The ginger beer carries most of the flavor so you won’t compromise the taste of the drink at all!
Pro tip: You can substitute the spiced syrup for plain simple syrup to save on time, but make sure to include some extra cinnamon and all spice into the drink to lock in that flavor!
