This past week I flew from Dallas to LA, a trip I’ve taken more times than I can count. But this time was so different – for obvious reasons – because of COVID-19. I’m not one to get nervous before getting on a plane, but I’ll be honest, I was flat out scared to take […]
I love makeup. I’m not great at doing all the fancy tricks, but I care about how the products I use perform like my life depends on it. For reference, I used to be addicted to MAC Cosmetics. Everything in my makeup bag was MAC from freshman year of high school up until the end […]
I don’t know how to begin writing this. I don’t want to put words in the mouth of my black friends. I don’t want to pretend that the outrage I feel is even close to the outrage that my friends of color feel. But I’m angry. And my heart hurts. And the world just feels […]
We’ve been in quarantine for 60 days. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sick of hanging out with myself. 60 days alone is a lot to handle and there’s only so much Netflix you can binge before your eyes get blurry and your couch has a permanent dent in it – let’s be […]
Houston, the land of Beyonce, Travis Scott and now Russell Westbrook (RIP) Also – currently the home of my best friend, which is the reason I’m making my way down to H-Town more often! Even though weekends are never enough time to do all the things, we make the most of our time together by […]
This past weekend I had my friends and followers on Instagram ask me questions. I figured I would take the time to answer them here, since many of them were very similar. I know I often post about my favorite places or things, but I rarely speak on my every day life. Plus this will serve as a great life update for those that are close to me – since I’m the absolute worst at Facebook statuses and (apparently) phone calls.
If you’ve known me for more than 24 hours, you know I drink too much coffee. I spend most of my free time bopping around Dallas, trying all the new shops around town because honestly it seems like there’s a new one opening every week. Of course coffee shops should all be aesthetically pleasing, but I have found that just because they are cute, doesn’t mean the coffee is good… and just because they coffee is good doesn’t mean it’s worth sitting in traffic over . So I have decided to comprise a list of my 5 favorite coffee shops in Dallas to help you navigate where to get your caffiene fix.
For some reason as this birthday approached, I became a little more sentimental than usual.. more reflective. I thought about writing a letter to my younger self (yes, I know… cheesy) but I realized that some of the most important life lessons I’ve learned haven’t come from life-altering situations, but instead, small moments. So instead of writing a long sappy letter to myself – I figured why not make a list of all the things, big and small, that have made an impact on my every day life so far.
